Gooooood Morning! 🌞 And a Happy Monday to you!! 🌤 #keepingitsimple today... Just a couple of #postworkout #eggs, over-medium 🍳(shot was taken before the flip). I alternate between strength training and cardio a lot of the time, and today was chest day. Flat bench press, incline bench press, pectoral flies, and finished with an upright chest press on a machine. 👍🏼💪🏼Please excuse me while I roar... 🦁😁#whatdoesthishavetodowithmentalhealth ??? #simplicity That's what. Too often we overcomplicate matters, which tends to worsen difficulty. 😖 Frequently, the simple choice is the best choice, but we stay in an unhealthy, convoluted pattern of behavior simply because it's familiar. When we consider making a change - even if it's clearly for the better - we don't. Wouldn't it be simpler to set a budget rather than get overdrawn every month? Wouldn't it be simpler to just say "no" to people rather than overextend ourselves and wind up exhausted and resentful? Wouldn't it be simpler to just speak the truth? Wouldn't it be simpler to just eat healthier and exercise rather than exist in a love-hate relationship with our bodies and food? Wouldn't it simpler to just end relationships that harm us rather than endure criticism and abuse? Look at an issue. Break it down. Get to simple steps. Take the first one. And if you have a hard time taking that first simple step, get some help. Simple doesn't mean easy. Especially if we are accustomed to complexity. But if often brings peace. 😌 Take this morning for example... eating healthy doesn't require twenty ingredients, seventeen steps, and $600 blender. Today it just required #eggs and #lodgecastiron.
